3GX Flight Mode Improvements
● Easier takeoffs, will not tip over due to correction of cyclic pitch, similar to flybar helicopters.
● Higher hovering stability, more precise hover maneuvers. For pilots with more emphasis on hovering maneuvers, cyclic pitch function can be disabled to achieve more linear corrections.
● More stable fast forward flights regardless of helicopter size; smoother transition between maneuvers.
● Added cyclic and collective dampening function, for more stable flight and reduced power consumption.
● Added cyclic and collective pitch pump function, providing extra power for smoother 3D maneuvers.
● Improved pirouetting compensation and added adjustment instruction, further improving pirouetting axial point
3GX v2.0 Setting Changes and Warnings
● Cyclic Pitch need to be set to 8 degrees while in DIR mode, it is used as basis for other settings. Should roll rate change is needed, it needs to be changed in the cyclic pitch speed setting within flight mode setup.
● The setting parameter is now independent of helicopter size. First turn the elevator and aileron gain dial back to 12 o’clock position, setup the basic parameters, and helicopter should fly smoothly and stable regardless of size. Then the pilot can fine tune flight characteristics using gain dials.
● Added flight mode setting function, allowing cyclic pitch roll rate and travel limit adjustability, cyclic and collective pitch dampening and speedup function.
● Eliminated most swashplate related parameters, replaced with flight mode setting parameters.
● Warning: Channel 1 and channel 3 cannot be reversed. Satellite receivers cannot be too close during power up. (Distance beyond 30cm)
● Added Easy Setup table.
3GX v2.0 Update & Update v1.2 Downgrade Instruction
● Turn elev and ail gain dial back to the 12 o’clock position.
● Roll rate adjustment should not be done on transmitter; this should be done in 3GX flight mode or PC interface.

Setup Method
|
Setup swashplate movement on TX, set elevator
forward and aileron right cyclic angle limit to 8 degrees after setting,
return to zero degree pitch.。
|
Push throttle open fully to complete setup,
indicated by flashing of LED 1~5, and then enter normal operation condition.
|
Set servo wide/narrow band using rudder
stick. Green LED for standard wide
band servos. For narrow band servo,
LED will be orange until rudder stick is pushed 3 times to confirm setting
and status LED sill turn to read.
|
Move aileron stick to increase/decrease the
number of LEDs lit between LED1~LED5.
More LED’s means faster rolls.
Same methods applies to elevator using elevator stick to control flip
rate. Aileron and elevator roll rate need to remain close, with setting
deviation to remain within 20%.

servo, red indicates analog.
|
While in this mode, elevator may deviate
forward/backward by as much as 8 degrees + offset percentage. For example, LED displays 50% settings,
total elevator travel will be 8+0.5*8=12 degrees. Set to a value with no mechanical binding
at extreme end or keep default value at 70%.

While in this mode, aileron may deviate
left/right by as much as 8 degrees + offset percentage. For example, LED displays 50% settings,
total aileron travel will be 8+0.5*8=12 degrees. Set to a value with no mechanical binding

move aileron stick until STATUS LED changes color to reverse gyro direction.
|
Move rudder stick to change STATUS color,
green STATUS for large heli more, red STATUS for small Heli mode. Moving rudder stick to any one side to set
delay. The amount of delay is
determined by distance from center and keeps the position. Press EXIT to set.
|
Move elevator stick to adjust collective pitch
acceleration level. Move aileron stick
to adjust cyclic pitch acceleration level.
More LED’s indicates more acceleration. If acceleration level exceeds
50%, check the BEC to ensure it can supply enough current to servos. Dedicated receiver battery is recommended
for acceleration higher than 50%.

Warnings
|
After completing setting of 8 degrees SWASH,
do not make further adjustments. If
adjustment to helicopter’s roll rate is needed, the adjustment must be made in
the roll rate under flight mode’s cyclic pitch section.
|
1. Flashing LED indicates 10%; fully lit LED
indicates 20%. For example, LED1 and
LED2 are fully lit, while LED3 is flashing, this is translated to
2*20+10=50%.
2. Move the stick to display the stick function’s
setting value. For example, moving
aileron stick will result in LED1~LED5 displaying aileron’s setting value.
